Supplement Requests

Well-Supported Supplements for Incomplete Claim Estimates

An initial carrier estimate may not account for every repair, procedure, material, or project condition required to complete the restoration properly. When legitimate scope items are missing, or documentation needs to be strengthened, a clearly prepared supplement request can help present the additional work for review.

1st Property Estimating & Consulting reviews existing estimates and project records to identify documented items that may have been omitted, reduced, or insufficiently explained. Our team compares the carrier estimate with the actual loss conditions, contractor scope, photographs, measurements, dry logs, invoices, and other available supporting information.

We then help organize the additional line items and related documentation into a structured supplement package. Our purpose is to present the contractor’s requested work clearly and accurately, helping the carrier or adjuster understand why the additions are necessary.

A supplement should not be a list of unsupported additions. Each requested item should connect to the documented conditions, required work, and available project records.

Our restoration and construction experience helps us review the file from a practical perspective. We understand how mitigation and reconstruction work is completed, which procedures may be required, and where an initial estimate may not fully reflect the project.

Benefits of Our Supplement Requests Service

Supplement support is available for water mitigation, fire damage, mold remediation, abatement, contents, reconstruction, exterior damage, and CAT or storm-related losses. We begin with an hourly file review to understand the claim, determine the level of assistance required, and explain the appropriate fee structure for the project.
